High on a mountain, in his summer home
Old Man Winter wakes up alone
Sees his bottle of whiskey smashed on the floor
But he can't remember why
'Til the sunshine burns through his window shade
It's going to hurt to face another lonely day
"This sure ain't November," he says to himself
"I've got those July Blue Sky Blues
He dreams of endless winter with everybody dressed like Eskimos
When every part of life feels so much better at ten below
But Old Man Winter won't smile again until the first snow hits the ground
Last January, those were better times
His old blue norther really blew their minds
Now the clouds have lifted and flowers bloom
Until he stomps them down each night
But the nighttime's the worst, when the wind won't blow
Sleepless and stuck to his heavy robes
And fireworks and music drift up from the town
But nobody seems to care
Despite how he loves it, he feels bad
That sometimes winter can come down sad
So he tries to make every snowflake new
And your Christmases be white
'Cause a frozen heart, it still feels pain
And sorrow flows through icy veins
Hot tears fall, one for every night
Just ninety-nine to go
He dreams of endless winter with everybody dressed like Eskimos
When every part of life feels so much better at ten below
But Old Man Winter won't smile again until the first snow hits the ground
Until the first snow hits the ground
Until the first snow<
